Haulage questions, answered
Which lorry do I need, how part loads work, who carries the goods, insurance, booking-in slots and what we can’t move. Straight answers.
Which lorry do I need?
As a guide: a 7.5 tonne lorry takes about 2,500 kg and 10 pallets, an 18 tonne rigid up to 14 pallets, and a 44 tonne artic about 26,000 kg and 24 pallets. Tell us the weight and pallets and we suggest one.
How do part loads work?
Tell us the pallets (2 to 12), weight and postcodes. Where a dedicated lorry fits, you get an instant price; otherwise DRVX prices the job and emails you.
Who carries the goods?
A vetted partner haulier with its own operator licence and goods-in-transit insurance. DRVX LTD arranges the job as a booking agent. DRVX does not run its own lorries.
How do I pay?
You pay DRVX LTD the price you accepted, by card or bank transfer, or on an approved business account. DRVX pays the partner haulier.
Can you meet a booked-in delivery slot?
Give the slot and reference when you book, and DRVX passes it to the partner haulier.
What can’t you move?
Hazardous (ADR) goods, temperature-controlled loads, live animals and international work. Mainland Great Britain only.
Is this lorry hire by the day?
No. DRVX Haulage books a lorry and driver per job. For a driver only, see DRVX driver supply at drvx.co.uk.
Is there an app?
Yes. Tap “Get the app” at the top of any page to add DRVX Haulage to your phone’s home screen. It is the same booking service as this website.
